Pronto is looking to solve the business and technical problem of commercializing Autonomous Vehicle (AV) technology by developing and deploying an Autonomous Haulage System for mines and quarries. The perception team specifically needs an engineer to enhance their advanced perception stack, which uses cameras and sensors to ensure safe and efficient operation of autonomous trucks.
Requirements
- Proficient with python, git, linux, PyTorch
- Familiarity with common computer vision libraries and techniques including camera calibration and camera projections
- Able to create and debug software systems: building maintainable code with good diagnostics that scale
- 2+ years professional experience writing software relevant to perception
Responsibilities
- Stress testing entire perception system to find operating limits
- Improving camera calibration techniques
- Building tooling to iteratively improve our data pipeline through active learning
- Creating tooling to extract data from vehicle logs
- Testing applications for neural nets on autonomous vehicles
- Hyperparameter tuning
- Implementing camera / lidar world space to image space transformations
