Kingstone is looking to implement underwriting, pricing, and product strategies to support the company’s profitability and growth goals for its Homeowners and Dwelling Fire products.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Homeowners insurance.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a product analyst, analytics, actuarial, or similar role.
- Knowledge of coverage forms for Homeowners and Dwelling Fire insurance products.
- Exceptional analytical abilities, focusing on leveraging analytics to drive product decisions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze internal and external data to identify marketing, underwriting and product opportunities; work to identify and develop new product opportunities that produce the level of return expected by Kingstone’s Board of Directors.
- Evaluate production to determine business quality and pricing opportunities.
- Develop a deep understanding of catastrophe modeling and help to effectively manage catastrophe exposure.
- Monitor procedures followed by underwriting and service provided to producers.
- Keep current on new data sources, service offerings and innovations in the Homeowners market in order to determine relevance for Kingstone.
Other
- Serve as a point of contact for all opportunities and issues related to our Homeowners and Dwelling Fire products.
- Participate in the development of the annual plan and strategy for its execution.
- Understand all applicable regulations and ensure Kingstone understands and is compliant with same; keep apprised of possible regulatory or legislative change that will impact the company.
- Gain support of executive stakeholders and keep them apprised of progress, accomplishments, and opportunities.
- Build relationships with Sales Reps; propose actions on their input where appropriate.
- Understand the competitive landscape and work to better position Kingstone in the market.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments, fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation.
