Washington University in St. Louis is looking to solve the problem of managing the research PET facility and supervising imaging aspects of PET research projects for the Radiological Sciences Research Division.

Requirements

  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technology (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) Certification and Registration - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.

Responsibilities

  • Performs PET scans on subjects enrolled by investigators and collaborators of the division of Radiological Sciences in an organized and timely fashion.
  • Monitors and performs preventive maintenance on tomography and relevant ancillary equipment to ensure operation in accordance with MIR and manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Supervises scheduling of scanner time and coordinates scheduling of cyclotron bombardment for subjects to be imaged.
  • Purchases and manages supplies used in research imaging procedures, using WashU Financial Information System in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensures laboratory and work area comply with MIR health and safety policies and procedures with no violations.
  • Renders appropriate patient care.
  • Manages the research PET facility

  • Bachelor's degree - Science
  • Staff Technologist (2 Years) experience
  • Ability to Reason, Analytical Thinking, Logical Thinking, Mathematical Computation
  • Finger and manual dexterity and lift 50 lbs. and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Visual acuity, depth perception and color vision to perform laboratory operations
