BCBST BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Inc. is looking for a Pharmacy Analyst II to leverage SQL and analytical tools to support complex reporting, pricing, and rebate processes, influencing medication cost and utilization strategies to shape smarter, more efficient pharmacy solutions.
Requirements
- Experience with SAS (Base, Enterprise Guide, Studio), SQL, Tableau, or similar experience with programming and/or statistical analysis required
- Reporting, data analysis, or similar experience required.
- Strong analytical skills
Responsibilities
- Analyzing, defining requirements, developing, and validating complex reporting and/or data files necessary to meet business objectives.
- Utilizing business knowledge to perform in-depth analyses, proactively investigating abnormal results, writing descriptive summaries of gathered data, and optimizing delivery of end product.
- Proactively analyzing changes in business processes and updating reporting/file feeds accordingly.
- Researching and responding to questions and change requests from business partners.
- Articulating reporting results and business impact.
- Peer review work product of junior and senior analysts and mentor junior analysts.
Other
- Bachelors degree in business or healthcare or relevant field or equivalent work experience required
- 3 years - Experience with SAS (Base, Enterprise Guide, Studio), SQL, Tableau, or similar experience with programming and/or statistical analysis required
- 5 years - Reporting, data analysis, or similar experience required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles and accountability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills
- Capacity to solve problems and manage multiple assignments with critical deadlines
