The Ohio State University's James | Pharmacy Administration is seeking a Pharmacy Research Technician 4 to manage investigational product (IP) and provide technical direction and assistance with clinical trial protocols, coordinate daily workflow, and support the operation of the department.

Requirements

  • Active OH Board of Pharmacy Certified Pharmacy Technician registration, PTCB/NHA certification
  • Minimum of 18 months experience within OSUWMC in the role of Research Pharmacy Technician III.

Responsibilities

  • Manage investigational product (IP) and provide technical direction and assistance with clinical trial protocols.
  • Serves as a functional and technical expert; leads and directs technical activities.
  • Anticipates, recognizes and solves complex technician-related issues and questions that arise within the team, department, or with customers
  • Assists with sponsor site visits and associated documentation.
  • The monitor and sponsor liaison position serves as a functional and technical specialist for monitoring, auditing and sponsor relations.
  • The role leads and directs technical activities related to monitoring and auditing.
  • The satellite support position serves as a functional and technical specialist for investigational product inventory.

  • Successfully navigate interactions with internal and external customers and partners in a professional and respectful manner
  • Acts as a positive role model for all technicians and acts in an encouraging manner conducive to the hospital, department and administration’s visions and values.
  • Assists with and/or leads productivity management, training, and mentoring of new staff, special projects, and committee meetings.
  • Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
