Batesville is looking for a PHP Developer to design, develop, and maintain dynamic web applications with a strong focus on performance, security, and user accessibility to help families honor the lives of those they love.
Requirements
- Strong background in PHP
- Deep understanding of web technologies
- Experience building scalable, high-performance web applications
- Proficiency in PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter
- Strong understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and writing efficient SQL queries
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP and related technologies.
- Write clean, well-structured, and efficient code that adheres to coding standards and best practices.
- Build and maintain backend components, RESTful APIs, and database systems to support web applications
- Integrate third-party services, APIs, and libraries into existing systems
- Customize and extend existing web applications to meet evolving business requirements
- Design and optimize database schemas and queries to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure application functionality and reliability.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years related PHP development experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
