The National Wild Turkey Federation is seeking a PHP Web Developer III to create and implement web-based products and applications, addressing declining wild turkey populations and guiding the organization's next generation web platforms.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience designing and implementing well documented, efficient PHP 7.x+ code
- Ability to properly scope projects to take business processes and turn them into efficient code.
- Experience using documented third-party APIs and creating API endpoints for third-party consumption.
- Responsive CSS Design using templates and frameworks
- Experience creating and using MySQL databases and optimized SQL queries
- Experience with LAMP technologies (Linux/ Apache/ MySQL/ PHP)
- Experience with front-end tools such as JavaScript, CSS and jQuery
Responsibilities
- Designing and working with MySQL tables and queries.
- Develop modular, reusable code that is scalable and optimized.
- Conduct unit and end-to-end testing as well as stress tests and performance tuning.
- Integrate 3rd party software and toolsets through documented SDK's.
- Document system changes, problems, and communications.
- Investigate, analyze, and make recommendations to management regarding technology improvements, upgrades, and modifications.
- Manage workloads and meet project scopes, deadlines, and schedules.
Other
- B.S. or B.A. degree in Computer Science preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Strong analytical and teamwork skills.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- General office/remote work setting, typically the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work, usually at a computer terminal – with short breaks or lunch period.
- Position can work remotely subject to in-office work as required.
