Southwire Company LLC is looking to improve their production floor processes by transitioning from paper shop packs to electronic shop packs using O:/drive. This initiative aims to drive paperless operations, enhance efficiency, and support the company's commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship.

Requirements

  • use O:/drive for electronic shop packs
  • develop and implement process for using electronic shop packs
  • Design, development, work instructions using O: drive to replace paper shop packs
  • Support data collection and analysis for implementation
  • Assist in updating and creating engineering documentation, standard operating procedures, and process flow diagrams
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance safety within manufacturing processes
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other deliverables to communicate project progress and results

Responsibilities

  • Drive paperless Initiatives for production floor to use O:/drive for electronic shop packs.

  • The ideal candidate is detailed oriented with the ability to think critically and logically.
  • Students will receive a project at the beginning of the summer and present it in our project expo at the end of the summer.
  • Each student will have a variety of responsibilities and assigned projects that relate to their field of study and be responsible for developing a timeline, progress updates, and final delivery in a senior leadership expo.
  • You will also collaborate on other exciting projects and work with talented peers and inspirational leaders, many of whom began as interns and co-ops themselves.
  • You will be provided a robust developmental experience through an immersive onboarding and offboarding experience, assigned a mentor, networking opportunities, organized events, activities, and community service /volunteer initiatives.
