Arclin is looking for a Plant Engineering Manager to be responsible for the specifications and design of plant facilities, controls, and equipment to achieve desired results in the most cost-efficient manner while enhancing the environment, safety, quality, and long-term profitability of the facility.
Requirements
- Programmable Logic Control, Distributive Process Controls Systems (DeltaV), HMI and Automation control systems
- AB RS Logix 5/500/5000, Control Logix, Powerflex drive, HMI/SCADA, I-Fix, ParcView and DeltaV Batch
- Experience in TPM, 6 Sigma, Lean, 5S
- Registered as a Professional Engineer
- Experience in PSM program implementation and maintenance
Responsibilities
- Function as a project manager for capital projects
- Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards
- Analyzes and plans maintenance work force utilization, predictive/preventative maintenance, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
- Provide technical advice on plant operations and improvements.
- Prepares engineering analysis of projects that includes preliminary design, detailed design, project cost analysis, life cycle cost analysis and equipment selection
- Develop, evaluate and improve the manufacturing controls and automation utilizing knowledge of instrumentation, controls & automation, product design, materials, chemicals, and production equipment capabilities.
- Leverage automation and controls to eliminate ergonomic concerns

- S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- 5-10+ years plant maintenance/engineering/project engineering experience
- in chemical or paper manufacturing
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated record of leadership, teamwork, adaptability, innovation and initiative
- Ability to work well with all levels of personnel throughout the facility and the company
- Ability to operate safely in a manufacturing environment; this may include, but is not limited to potentially lifting up to 20 lbs., standing for extended periods of time bending, crouching, stooping, rotating, climbing stairs, or any combination of the aforementioned, etc.
