Vistra Nuclear Operations Company is looking to solve complex engineering problems in the Building and Structures system to improve overall plant reliability and ensure conformance to applicable codes and standards.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge in Civil/Structural area of expertise.
- Technical understanding of nuclear plant processes/programs not well understood by others.
- Qualified to prepare complex design changes.
- Qualified to prepare complex 10CFR50.59 evaluations.
- Registered Professional Engineer. Texas preferred or able to secure through reciprocity.
- Technical expertise in area of nuclear plant processes/programs.
- Ability to develop long‐range improvement plans for key plant assets.
Responsibilities
- Provide proactive engineering involvement in the Building and Structures system to improve overall plant reliability.
- Ensure that system performance is monitored and analyzed and that issues are proactively identified and resolved.
- Develop long‐range improvement plans for key plant assets requiring attention such as obsolete equipment, vulnerabilities from OE, upgrades that would result in operational or financial benefits, and determining and reporting Maintenance Rule availability.
- Provide innovative engineering solutions for difficult problems.
- Assess and resolve potential conditions adverse to quality.
- Prepare complex design changes.
- Prepare engineering reports.
Other
- Bachelor's of Science Engineering degree or related Science degree from a college or university with an accredited engineering program.
- 10-15 years' experience.
- Post Graduate Degree (Technical Expert), desired.
- May be responsible for developing other employees in area of expertise.
- Serves a lead role on projects, teams, processes, or programs.
