EPAM Georgia is looking for a Platform Engineering Manager to lead platform engineering efforts across multiple countries, driving the development of scalable, reliable, and innovative platform solutions.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of cloud computing architectures and services
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, monitoring practices, and security standards
- Proven expertise in managing production infrastructure using tools like Terraform and Crossplane
- Experience designing and maintaining internal developer portals with tools like Backstage
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing practices
- Proficiency in container platforms and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
- Awareness of AI/LLM trends and their impact on developer productivity
Responsibilities
- Lead the Platform Engineering discipline, expanding capabilities and services across multiple regions
- Drive the creation and implementation of platform engineering solutions, reusable accelerators, and service offerings
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable platform solutions to meet business needs
- Create and manage robust CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery processes
- Leverage tools such as Terraform and Crossplane to implement infrastructure as code for scalable infrastructure management
- Design and develop internal developer portals using tools like Backstage to improve developer efficiency and productivity
- Establish observability platforms with monitoring, logging, and tracing capabilities to ensure system reliability and performance
Other
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferably STEM)
- At least 10 years of experience in platform engineering, cloud technologies, software development, and infrastructure management
- 5+ years of experience leading teams of 40 or more employees
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at a B2+ level or higher
- Ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders
