Waystar is looking to drive exponential improvements in its CI/CD, and the Manager of Developer Experience Engineering will be responsible for leading this effort by selecting, implementing, and integrating the necessary tools and processes.
Requirements
- 7+ years of enterprise level coding experience, preferably C .NET
- Experience managing technical projects, including planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience building highly reliable software solutions
- Subject Matter Expertise in DevOps
- Ability to run a team of 4+ team members
- Able to plan and initiate multi-quarter projects with a full project team
- Technical capabilities are on par with the Technical Lead
Responsibilities
- Manages all day-to-day activities of the team. Ensures team is operating using scrum methodologies and rituals.
- Oversees the daily operations of the team, including managing CI/CD pipelines, automation processes, and infrastructure maintenance. Ensures the reliability and performance of systems and applications.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of team workflows
- Works with the Application Development teams to prioritize CI/CD enhancement requests, identify opportunities to improve the developer experience and implement Waystar SDLC policy and procedures
- Communicates team roadmaps, project plans and sprint metrics to leadership to gain alignment
- Schedules projects and resources, and monitors project timelines; will ultimately be accountable for the success or failure of all team projects
- Conducts People Operations responsibilities for all assigned team members, including performance reviews, disciplinary action, and communication of companywide announcements
