LMI is looking to build and support the core infrastructure that powers their Navy logistics and asset visibility platform, requiring a Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environment.
Requirements
- Experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience (CKAD or CKA preferred).
- Experience managing hybrid cloud environments, especially AWS GovCloud.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab, Bitbucket, AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or similar.
- Solid Linux skills and comfort with command-line troubleshooting and networking.
- Knowledge of secure identity and access management (ICAM) and protocols (SAML, OAuth2, OIDC).
- Proficiency in at least one language (C, Python, or similar).
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage the infrastructure behind our apps—across AWS GovCloud, edge, and Navy networks.
- Automate deployments and environment provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Gitlab, and AWS CodePipeline.
- Stand up and secure Kubernetes clusters (Rancher, Helm) and support containerized apps in production.
- Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or ELK.
- Work across environments and stacks to ensure apps are secure, scalable, and resilient.
- Help write and maintain scripts or lightweight apps to support system automation and integration.
- Support ATO and cybersecurity requirements, including ICAM integration and container-level hardening.

- Active Secret clearance or higher (required).
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or DevSecOps engineering roles.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (bonus point).
- Prior experience with U.S. Navy programs, software systems, or command and control platforms (bonus point).
- Limited travel required.
