Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is looking to build and maintain the machine learning infrastructure supporting their next-generation industrial energy management applications to solve real-world energy optimization problems for their Fortune 1000 clients.
Requirements
- Previous experience building APIs and deploying ML models to production.
- Experience managing cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g.,Python, Java, C-Sharp, or similar).
- Experience with CI/CD implementation and management.
- Proficiency troubleshooting system-level issues in telemetry tools such as ELK, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Experience with cloud-based ML platforms such as AWS SageMaker or TensorFlow.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics and energy systems.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the infrastructure required to run ML models integrated with our energy management application.
- Manage our technology stack, including relational and time-series database systems, cloud ML pipelines, and back-end APIs.
- Develop and maintain APIs supporting model deployment and data flow between applications.
- Author and support machine learning solutions to address energy management challenges.
- Implement and monitor CI/CD pipelines for reliable model and application deployment.
- Troubleshoot networking, database, container, VM, and API issues in development and production environments.

- Full-time onsite in Waynesboro, VA.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, mechanical engineers, and software engineers to deliver measurable, real-world results.
- Occasionally may need to lift or carry items up to 25 pounds (e.g., office supplies, small equipment).
- Background in software engineering and a strong interest in supporting applications that leverage machine learning components.
- Experience in machine learning or data science, especially in industrial on energy-related applications.
