Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is looking to solve real-world energy optimization problems for their Fortune 1000 clients powering America’s food supply chain by building and maintaining machine learning infrastructure supporting next-generation industrial energy management applications.

Requirements

  • Previous experience building APIs and deploying ML models to production.
  • Experience managing cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g.,Python, Java, C-Sharp, or similar).
  • Experience with CI/CD implementation and management.
  • Proficiency troubleshooting system-level issues in telemetry tools such as ELK, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Experience in machine learning or data science, especially in industrial on energy-related applications.
  • Experience with cloud-based ML platforms such as AWS SageMaker or TensorFlow.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the infrastructure required to run ML models integrated with our energy management application.
  • Manage our technology stack, including relational and time-series database systems, cloud ML pipelines, and back-end APIs.
  • Develop and maintain APIs supporting model deployment and data flow between applications.
  • Author and support machine learning solutions to address energy management challenges.
  • Implement and monitor CI/CD pipelines for reliable model and application deployment.
  • Troubleshoot networking, database, container, VM, and API issues in development and production environments.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, mechanical engineers, and software engineers to deliver measurable, real-world results.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Occasionally may need to lift or carry items up to 25 pounds (e.g., office supplies, small equipment).
  • Background in mechanical or chemical engineering, or strong understanding of thermodynamics and energy systems.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, mechanical engineers, and software engineers to deliver measurable, real-world results.
