XOi is seeking a Platform Engineering Manager to lead the platform engineering team and ensure the engineering department has the tools, infrastructure, and support they need to build and deploy software efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or a similar role, with a strong understanding of developer workflows
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) in the context of developer tooling
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) to automate and simplify developer environments
- Proficiency in languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash) and automation tools to enhance developer productivity
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Github Actions, GitLab CI) to enable rapid and reliable deployments
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, especially as they relate to developer environments
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements, applied in a way that minimizes friction for developers
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the platform engineering team, including hiring, mentoring, performance management and career development
- Design, build, and maintain the infrastructure that powers XOi’s platform
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automation tools to streamline developer workflows
- Monitor and troubleshoot efficiency issues, proactively implementing solutions to minimize disruptions
- Prioritize initiatives and tooling that enhance developer experience and reduce cognitive or operational overhead
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure smooth integration, deployment and rapid feedback loops
- Contribute to the platform engineering roadmap and long-term strategy
