Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Systems Operations Engineer to join the Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) organization to drive strategic initiatives across infrastructure platforms and shape the reliability strategy, architecture, and operating model for infrastructure platforms supporting business-critical applications.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Infrastructure domains, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 5+ years of experience managing production support and leading cross-functional initiatives
• Deep understanding of SRE principles and practices.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability platforms (e.g., Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Expertise in automation tools

Responsibilities

• Lead reliability initiatives and influence platform modernization strategies
• Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, translating business needs into technical solutions
• Architect observability, automation, and failover strategies across infrastructure domains
• Define and govern SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for critical services
• Drive incident response frameworks, root cause analysis, and postmortem practices to reduce MTTR
• Influence target state architecture and operating models for infrastructure reliability
• Collaborate with platform engineering, application teams, and business stakeholders to align reliability goals with service delivery
