General Dynamics Electric Boat is looking to solve the problem of developing innovative solutions for the United States Navy’s nuclear submarines by providing an unparalleled learning experience for college students through the Platform Systems Engineering and Integration – 2026 Engineering Summer Internship program.

Requirements

  • US citizenship is required
  • Must be able to successfully pass a medically supervised drug screen and background check
  • Must be enrolled full-time at a college or university
  • At minimum students must have completed their Freshman year prior to the start of the internship
  • Must be available to work 40 hours per week for a minimum eight (8) consecutive weeks between May 2026 to September 2026
  • Selected candidates will be responsible for establishing housing and reliable transportation for the duration of their intern assignment
  • Pursuing a Bachelor or Masters of Science degree in a relevant field

Responsibilities

  • Requirements development and verification
  • Resolution of technical integration challenges
  • Test program development
  • Concept of operations (CONOPS) development
  • Interface management
  • Model based systems engineering (MBSE)
  • Multi-discipline Major Area Team (MAT) spatial arrangement and integration

Other
