The Miami Marlins are seeking passionate, detail-oriented individuals for an Analytics Fellowship within the Player Development department to translate complex ideas into clear, actionable insights for coaches and players.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL, R and/or Python programming languages.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce all advance scouting materials for the affiliate.
- Facilitate the use of these materials in pre-game meetings and provide in-game support and insights from the dugout.
- Conduct research and deliver insights to assist the coaching staff in enhancing individual player growth, including tracking progress in player development plans and completing ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Apply data analysis techniques and create compelling visualizations to transform data into actionable insights that support decision-making.
- Assist with on-field duties, technology integration, and data collection, collaborating with coaches and development staff to ensure comprehensive player improvement.

- Interested applicants should be available in person from mid-February through the end the MiLB season.
- Availability to work irregular hours, including nights/weekends and affiliate travel.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, often in outdoor environments.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex ideas to coaches, baseball operations staff, and players.
