WSP USA is seeking to provide hands-on, meaningful work experience to students through a co-op program, enhancing their education and professional aptitude while supporting senior staff on real projects within the Property & Buildings Team.
Requirements
- Learn Autodesk Revit to model Plumbing & Fire Protection components and systems.
- Experience using Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit.
Responsibilities
- Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
- Learn basic principles of Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineering.
- Become familiar with reading and interpreting building plans and plumbing/fire protection diagrams.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
- Learn Autodesk Revit to model Plumbing & Fire Protection components and systems.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop engineering drawings and specifications.
- Become familiar with various engineering standards and codes.
Other
- Actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related Undergraduate program through Drexel University with an anticipated graduation date of October 2026 or later.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
- Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to execute projects.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the co-op/internship.
