SoFi is seeking a Policy Research & Operations Analyst to conduct in-depth research and analysis on legislative proposals to assess their business impact and contribute to the company's strategic direction in the evolving financial services landscape.

- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with a proven track record of managing budgets, overseeing contracts and deliverables, and effectively handling multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a particular emphasis on developing professional, impactful reports, briefing materials, and executive summaries.
- Adept at managing information flow, responding to on-demand requests, and delivering timely, accurate intelligence to senior stakeholders.
- High degree of self-motivation, curiosity, proactivity, and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on public policy proposals to assess their potential impact.
- Synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Manage on-demand requests for policy-related information from SoFi executives across the organization.
- Provide ongoing intelligence on the policy landscape and tracking.
- Develop clear, concise, and impactful briefing materials for senior executives in preparation for engagements with policymakers and other key stakeholders.
- Take ownership of all Policy and Government Affairs back-office operations, including budget management, consultant onboarding, and oversight of external consultant contracts and their deliverables.
- Lead the tracking of programmatic success metrics and performance objectives for the Policy and Government Affairs program.
Other
- 4+ years of progressive experience in a research, analysis, operations, or project management role, ideally within a public policy, government affairs, regulatory affairs, or legal program.
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Serve as a central point of contact for internal inquiries, collaborating effectively with legal, compliance, and various business units to ensure timely responses and insight.
- Support the timely filings of lobbying disclosures for SoFi and work to identify and implement efficiencies to streamline team workflows.
- Support the Director in developing key metrics and ensure clear visibility into our impact and progress for the business.
