The Ohio State University is looking to solve the problem of fundamental limitations and generalization failures of transformers as well as advancing the capability and safety of language agents in the Natural Language Processing Group.
Requirements
- Doctorate in computer science engineering or related fields
- strong research record in LLM-based agents
- strong research record in reinforcement learning
- strong research record in large language models
- experience in areas closely aligned with the topics outlined above
- experience in mentoring graduate or undergraduate students
- ability to work collaboratively within a large team
Responsibilities
- leading research projects
- training graduate and undergraduate researchers
- assisting the PIs with grant writing
- participating in conferences/workshops to share research progress
- writing and publishing scientific documents
- conducting research on fundamental limitations and generalization failures of transformers
- advancing the capability and safety of language agents
