SRI International is seeking Postdoctoral Fellows to conduct research and development in mathematics of generative AI models, reinforcement learning, and algorithm design to support a new computational and mathematical sciences team. The team aims to conduct and publish research at top venues and assist SRI in commercializing relevant technologies.
Requirements
- Expertise in algorithm development associated with the following: artificial intelligence, algorithm design, scalable computational methods and their implementations.
- Demonstrated experience implementing novel algorithms in one or more programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and libraries associated with training of AI models.
Responsibilities
- Develop research ideas, lead the experimental evaluation of these ideas, present work to government and commercial clients,
- Document research in technical reports and research papers
- Develop and implement new algorithms and benchmark against state-of-the-art approaches
Other
- Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Physics or Engineering with a focus on computational sciences, Computer Science or related area.
- Demonstrated publication record.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Some travel will be required to project meetings, and conference venues
