SRI International is seeking Postdoctoral Fellows to conduct research and development in the areas of mathematics of generative AI models, reinforcement learning, and algorithm design to support a new computational and mathematical sciences team. The aim is to publish research, assist SRI in commercializing technologies, and develop new algorithms for various applications.
Requirements
- Expertise in algorithm development associated with the following: artificial intelligence, algorithm design, scalable computational methods and their implementations.
- Demonstrated experience implementing novel algorithms in one or more programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and libraries associated with training of AI models.
Responsibilities
- Develop research ideas, lead the experimental evaluation of these ideas, present work to government and commercial clients,
- Collaborate with project Principal Investigators (PIs) and their staff in academia, Industrial and National Labs
- Document research in technical reports and research papers
- Develop and implement new algorithms and benchmark against state-of-the-art approaches
Other
- Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Physics or Engineering with a focus on computational sciences, Computer Science or related area.
- Demonstrated publication record.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Some travel will be required to project meetings, and conference venues
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills required.
