The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Texas A&M University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to contribute to research in laser spectroscopy, Atomic, Molecular, and Optical (AMO) physics, or nuclear-based studies.
Requirements
- Programming skills in Python
- Experience with ion traps and lasers
- Knowledge of laser spectroscopy, Atomic, Molecular, and Optical (AMO) physics, or nuclear-based studies
Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced laser spectroscopy research at the Karthein Lab, working on projects approved by the Principal Investigator (PI).
- Engage in independent research involving AMO or nuclear physics, utilizing ion traps and lasers.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present work at conferences.
Other
- Provide mentorship to students, guiding them through their research projects and helping them develop their skills.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring they are completed successfully and on time.
- PhD in Physics
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (incl. track record of publications)
