Texas A&M University's Department of Physics and Astronomy is seeking two Postdoctoral Research Associates to conduct research in experimental particle physics, focusing on detector design, commissioning, and data analysis for current and future Liquid Argon (LAr) detectors.
Requirements
- Physics analysis at the graduate level, programming.
- Analysis group leadership, student mentorship.
- Data analysis for HEP.
- ML reconstruction, Geant4, software development, statistics.
- Physics analysis at the graduate level, prior hardware or electronics work.
- Cryogenic commissioning, CEvNS experiments, LAPPD or SiPM work.
- Data analysis for HEP, hardware and electronics.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and scholarship on detector design and commissioning, device testing, simulations, calibration measurements to include paper writing for CCI and current/future LAr detectors.
- Facilitate experimental collaboration meetings, lab management, and experimental site coordination.
- Physics analysis at the graduate level, programming.
- Data analysis for HEP.
- ML reconstruction, Geant4, software development, statistics.
- Prior hardware or electronics work.
- Cryogenic commissioning, CEvNS experiments, LAPPD or SiPM work.
