Brookhaven National Laboratory's Physics Department is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to conduct research related to ongoing and future experiments in nuclear and particle physics, specifically focusing on nucleon structure, QCD spin physics, small-x physics, and non-perturbative methods in quantum field theories.
Requirements
- Solid background in field theory and practical computational skills in QCD
- Experience with hadron (nucleus) structure physics relevant to the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) experiment
Responsibilities
- Perform research on high energy hadron (nucleus) collisions, nucleon structure
- Organize and participate in seminars, meetings, and workshops
- Publish research results and conduct presentations at meetings and conferences
Other
- PhD degree in Theoretical Nuclear or Elementary Particle Physics
- Ability to prepare and deliver oral presentations, as well as write articles in scientific journals
- Clear and concise verbal/written/presentation communication skills
- May require domestic and international travel.
