Texas A&M University Health Science Center is looking to solve clinical research problems with behavioral and neuroscience outcomes pertaining to the use of low-intensity focused ultrasound in human subjects.
Requirements
- Ability to perform advanced structural and functional image analysis
- Ability to perform Free Surfer analyses for structural brain images.
- Ability to perform whole-brain probabilistic tractography preferably with MRtrix3
- Ability to perform advanced fMRI preprocessing with fMRIPrep pipeline (in BIDS - Brain Imaging Data Structure - environment).
- Ability to perform seed-to-voxel and voxel-to-voxel functional fMRI connectivity analysis with AFNI, CONN, and SPM.
- Familiarity with low-intensity focused ultrasound modeling to establish actual tissue energy delivery (preferably with Babel Brain or embedded in Brain sight neuro navigation system, or k-wave).
- Code in Python, C and BASH.

Other
- Must hold a doctoral degree (Ph.D) in a relevant field from an accredited institution
- May be required to work weekends and/or after normal hours.
- May require travel.
- Must be able to assist with the preparation and cleaning of worksite.
- Must be able to mentor, and/or supervise student researchers and/or graduate students who are working on research related to the project.
