Texas A&M University Health Science Center is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to conduct cutting-edge investigations into host-pathogen interactions across multiple ongoing projects, focusing on viruses, bacteriophages, tuberculosis, mycobacteria, and other respiratory pathogens.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in a relevant field such as Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Virology, or a closely related discipline.
- Record of productive experience in immunology, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology of pathogens preferred.
- PhD, D.V.M. and/or M.D.
Responsibilities
- Conducts independent research on mycobacterial, viral, and other respiratory pathogens, and publication of results.
- Designs, develops, and conducts research experiments.
- Evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques and procedures.
- Collects, compiles, organizes, and analyzes data.
- Documents, summarizes, and interprets results.
- Maintains experimental records and documentation.
- Participates and assists with the preparation of manuscripts, grants, and publications of scientific data in peer-revised journals based on research.
