The Tom Lin Lab is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work on Cellular Regulation and Mechanisms of Protein Arginylation Modification.
Requirements
- Experience in cell culture and mass spectrometry.
- Ability to conduct independent experiments under supervisor’s guidance.
- Expertise in cell biology, post-translational modifications, chemical biology, and proteomics.
- Proficiency in career skills, including writing, public speaking, networking, and critical evaluation of scientific literature.
- Ability to present scientific work both inside and outside the University with excellent oral communication skills.
- Ability to prepare and submit papers on research with excellent writing skills.
- Ability to assist with grant preparation and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manages their own project, which should lead to a first author publication.
- Develops expertise in cell biology, post-translational modifications, chemical biology, and proteomics.
- Designs research experiments.
- Evaluates research findings and reports results.
- Conscientious discharge of their research responsibilities.
- Maintains conformity with ethical standards in research.
- Maintains compliance with good laboratory practice including the maintenance of adequate research records.

- Ph.D., M.D. Or Equivalent Terminal Or Doctoral Degree.
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards.
- Ability to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.
