The Magee lab studies the mechanisms that regulate childhood blood development and genetic changes that cause leukemia in children, with the overall goal of developing new treatments for children with leukemia and other blood disorders at Washington University in St. Louis.
Requirements
- Experience in molecular biology and genomics is preferred.
- Programming skills are desired but not required.

Responsibilities
- Manages their own project, which should lead to a first author publication.
- Develops proficiency in hematopoietic stem cell and leukemia biology.
- Develops proficiency with mouse genetic models, stem cell transplantation, and hematopoietic stem cell analyses.
- Assists in the design of research experiments.
- Evaluates research findings and assists in the reporting of the results.
- Prepares and submits papers on research.
- Presents scientific work both inside and outside the University.
Other
