Understanding somatic variants in inborn errors of immunity at WashU.
Requirements
- Strong background in Immunology and bioinformatics, including first-author original publications.
- Expertise in analysis of genomic datasets.
- Strong writing skills as evidenced by past publications and/or grant awards.
- Experience in immunologic techniques (wet-lab).
Responsibilities
- Independently design and perform experiments related to identification of somatic variants leading to inborn errors of immunity, with oversight from PI.
- Write manuscripts describing the findings of your scientific research.
- Accurate documentation and record-keeping.
- Assist with writing grant applications for the laboratory, and submit training grant applications to support your work.
- Work collaboratively with all members of the laboratory.
- Meet with Dr. Cooper regularly to review progress and for career development.

- Ph.D., M.D. Or Equivalent Terminal Or Doctoral Degree.
- This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards.
- The individual must be able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.
- Base pay is commensurate with experience.
