The Magdy Lab at LSU Health Shreveport is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to investigate how genetic and epigenetic variations drive human disease and inform precision medicine, with a focus on cardio-oncology, cardiomyopathies, and cardio-metabolic disorders.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in iPSC culture and differentiation
- CRISPR-Cas genome editing
- GWAS
- eQTL
- Multi-omics, including RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, CITE-seq, and single-cell omics
- Experience with human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) models
- Knowledge of tissue engineering and genome editing
Responsibilities
- Integrate cutting-edge approaches, including human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) models, tissue engineering, genome editing, and both bulk and single-cell multi-omics, to uncover mechanisms and therapeutic targets
- Investigate how genetic and epigenetic variations drive human disease and inform precision medicine
- Focus on cardio-oncology, cardiomyopathies, and cardio-metabolic disorders
- Use iPSC culture and differentiation, CRISPR-Cas genome editing, GWAS, eQTL, Multi-omics, including RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, CITE-seq, and single-cell omics
- Uncover mechanisms and therapeutic targets
- Conduct research using human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) models
- Perform tissue engineering and genome editing
