Requirements
- 6+ years of experience with PostgreSQL, including data architecture, query performance, and data normalization
- Experience designing and implementing ETL processes for OLTP databases, including denormalizing data to facilitate analytical queries and reporting purposes
- Experience performing large-scale migrations and understanding the common risks and impacts of data migrations
- Experience in an Agile enterprise environment, using Atlassian tools such as Jira or Confluence
- Ability to evaluate software requirements to provide efficient database designs and implementation scripts for a service-based architecture
- Ability to quickly learn large complex data structures and non-standard RDMS implementations, and make design recommendations that align with industry best practices and ACID standards
- Ability to quickly understand the intent and logic of PostgreSQL PL/pgSQL functions and procedures
Responsibilities
- design data architecture solutions for service-oriented architecture and data visualization
- resolve routine data architecture-related issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams by analyzing existing data structures and making recommendations to our clients that improve performance and ease of consumption
- design and implement database structures that support many OLTP applications and visualizations tools
- guide your team as it designs, defines, develops, and tests cloud solution components
- serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure that requirements are met, and solutions are delivered
- evaluate software requirements to provide efficient database designs and implementation scripts for a service-based architecture
- make design recommendations that align with industry best practices and ACID standards
