The Power BI Developer is needed to develop and implement Power BI solutions that meet the requirements for using data, collaborating with EDW team members and DOH program area stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
Requirements
- Advanced expertise with Microsoft Power BI software and DAX for the creation, modification, and maintenance of data displays
- Advanced expertise with using analytical software, including SAS statistical software and Microsoft Excel, for analytical and reporting purposes
- Strong proficiency with SQL Server, T-SQL, scripts, and complex queries.
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Agile / Scrum development methods
- Experience with data mining architectures, modeling standards, reporting and data analysis methodologies
- Demonstrable, advanced experience with data profiling, data formatting, capture, search, retrieval, extraction, classification, quality analysis and information filtering techniques
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Power BI solutions
- Develop report specifications - define the purpose of a report, its justification, attributes and columns, owners, and runtime parameters.
- Develop graphic representations of complex business processes.
- Assist in creating workflows using formal notation such as the Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN).
- Develop and implement solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
- Participate in testing of implemented solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement data structures, dashboards, reports, and other data products that meet the organization//'s objectives and requirements.

- Manage assignments and track progress against agreed upon timelines.
- Plan, organize, prioritize, and manage work efforts, coordinating with the EDW and other teams.
- Participate in status reviews, process reviews, deliverable reviews, and software quality assurance work product reviews with the appropriate stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and customer representatives.
- Ability to balance work between multiple projects and possess good organizational skills, with minimal or no direct supervision.
