The company is looking for an intern to participate in research projects, specifically in the area of power converters and protection devices. The intern will contribute to the development of new scientific knowledge and technical design recommendations.
Requirements
- Understand the technical requirements and identify components for new designs
- Plan, build, and adapt test circuits
- Conduct laboratory tests, analyze data, and improve/optimize the solution
- Deliver results in the form of numerical models and hardware demonstrations in support of new scientific knowledge and technical design recommendations, and internal technical reports and presentations
Responsibilities
- Understand the technical requirements and identify components for new designs
- Plan, build, and adapt test circuits
- Conduct laboratory tests, analyze data, and improve/optimize the solution
- Interact and actively communicate with other team members in the research organization and with suppliers of novel components for power converters and protection devices
- Deliver results in the form of numerical models and hardware demonstrations in support of new scientific knowledge and technical design recommendations, and internal technical reports and presentations
Other
- Currently enrolled in a PhD or M.S. degree program in the US in Electrical Engineering (recent graduates will also be considered).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
