LMI is seeking a Technical Lead to lead development efforts for a major office at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) using Microsoft Power Platform

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Microsoft technologies, including 3+ years of hands-on Power Platform development (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Proficiency in Power BI and other similar query languages (Power Query, M, DAX, SQL, R)
  • Strong understanding of solution architecture, data integration, connectors, APIs, and security models
  • Experience creating and maintaining project schedules and plans using tools such as Microsoft Project
  • Experience managing and prioritizing a product backlog using tools such as Jira
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications
  • Project management certification or Agile experience (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, CSM, PSM)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Oversee the development lifecycle, manage timelines, allocate resources, and ensure deliverables meet VA’s mission and business objectives
  • Create and maintain project schedules and detailed project plans to track progress, dependencies, and milestones
  • Manage the product backlog by prioritizing features, enhancements, and bug fixes in alignment with stakeholder needs and program objectives
  • Provide solution architecture guidance and ensure scalability, security, and maintainability of applications
  • Develop and maintain applications, workflows, automations, and dashboards to streamline business processes
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with other Microsoft services and third-party applications

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, deliver under tight timelines, and balance both technical and business considerations
  • Previous VA or federal government experience; active or previously held Public Trust clearance
