Hawk-Eye Innovations is seeking a Pre-Sales Product Engineer to bridge the gap between their cutting-edge technology and valued clients in the broadcast replay industry.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background in broadcast replay systems and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of the broadcast replay industry (e.g., EVS, Grass Valley, Simplylive, etc.) and a deep understanding of their technical capabilities and integration points.
  • Solid understanding of video and audio signal flow, formats, and standards (e.g., SDI, IP, HDR, various codecs).
  • In-depth knowledge of IP-based video workflows (e.g., SMPTE ST 2110) and their application in broadcast replay systems.
  • Experience with virtualized and cloud-based broadcast solutions.
  • Familiarity with broadcast control systems and automation.
  • Operational experience running a Replay solution for broadcast television.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Consultation: Providing expert advice on integrating broadcast replay systems into client workflows.
  • Solution Architecture: Designing and customizing technical solutions to meet specific client needs.
  • Product Demonstrations: Showcasing the technical capabilities of broadcast replay products to potential customers.
  • Proof of Concept: Developing and executing proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate product feasibility.
  • Technical Documentation: Creating detailed documentation for proposed solutions and system configurations.
  • Collaboration with Development Teams: Working closely with product development teams to address technical challenges and refine offerings.
  • Customer Training: Delivering technical training sessions to ensure clients can effectively use the products.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel as required for client meetings, demonstrations, and industry events.
  • Existing network of contacts within the broadcast production community.
  • Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communications, Broadcast Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
