Northrop Grumman is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design and manage cloud infrastructure, impacting team productivity and requiring an understanding of the software development lifecycle and automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/CD pipelines).
Requirements
- Deep understanding of core AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, RDS, etc.)
- Experience with tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, YAML, PowerShell, etc.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments
- AWS Certifications (i.e., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, etc.)
- RHCSA or RHCSE Certified
Responsibilities
- Designing, building, and deploying scalable and secure cloud solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Managing and optimizing cloud resources for performance, cost-effectiveness, and security
- Automating infrastructure management tasks using languages like Python, Bash, YAML, etc. and tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform
- Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines and integrating with version control systems
- Ensuring cloud solutions adhere to security best practices, as well and applicable governing policies, procedures, and directives
- Monitoring cloud infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high availability of services
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate application and support deployments
Other
- Current DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (i.e., Security+, etc.)
- 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 2 years of relevant experience with Masters; Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Previous experience with DoD Impact Level 6 (IL6)
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.
