The Customer and Market Insights team within the Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) needs a Principal Analyst to support Platform Strategy within Quickbooks and Mailchimp by producing impactful analyses, reporting, and processes that drive strategy.

Requirements

  • Experience working with segmentation models, survey data, predictive model outputs as well as behavioral/first party data.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience with data visualization tools (tableau)
  • Advanced proficiency with SQL and advanced analytics techniques (propensity models, clustering)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and end-to-end quantitative thinking to influence business decisions
  • Ability to clearly communicate and persuasively present data and conclusions in an organized manner to a wide variety of audiences and up to executive management

Responsibilities

  • Produce impactful analyses, reporting, and processes leading to recommendations that drive strategy.
  • Generate insights quickly and confidently.
  • Combine analytical insights, customer and market research and business acumen to inform company wide strategies.
  • Help manage and maintain our database in a SQL/BigQuery environment.
  • Execute on short-term needs flawlessly, while keeping in mind long-term goals.
  • Provide actionable insights and a clear point of view on customer behavior and performance up to senior management.
  • Collaborate across business units and functions to provide business-level analytics and insights about our customers and industry.

  • You have extensive (10+ years) experience in an analytics focused role with some experience working in a customer analytics discipline as well a SaaS organization
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities to translate complex data frameworks into actionable insights
  • Contribute to a data-informed culture - identify and work to resolve taxonomy discrepancies and bridge the thinking across distinct brand offerings to get a unified view of the customer and growth opportunities
  • Bachelor’s or Graduate degree (business or mathematics a plus or equivalent work experience)
