Anduril Industries is looking for a Principal Computer Vision Engineer to develop algorithms that push the performance boundaries of novel, airborne infrared imaging systems in all environments. The goal is to enhance the capabilities of U.S. and allied military systems by leveraging advanced AI, computer vision, and sensor fusion technologies.
Requirements
- Expertise with C++, Python, and Linux systems
- Focus on image processing, computer vision, or machine learning
- Experience with software revision control
- Experience with infrared sensor systems
Responsibilities
- Develop cutting-edge image processing techniques for signal improvement, detection, and tracking on high bit-depth, large format, airborne infrared sensors
- Work with mission operations, hardware, software teams to understand and evaluate current system performance
- Develop and maintain physics-based “digital twins“ of our airborne sensor systems
- Establish engineering completion criteria and evaluation metrics for system performance, building tools for unit and integration tests
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team on challenging problems in a fast-paced environment
Other
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
- 10+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong analytical & critical thinking and problem-solving skills and an ability to communicate ideas clearly
- Team-player, self-motivated, driven, organized
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively on interdisciplinary teams
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
