Optum is looking to solve complex data challenges and enable scalable analytics by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of healthcare data, while designing and maintaining data pipelines, models, and quality checks in a Snowflake environment.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in SQL (writing complex queries, managing stored procedures, optimizing query performance, etc.)
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
- Proven problem-solving skills; the ability to systematically analyze problems, draw relevant conclusions and devise appropriate courses of action
- Experience with Epic Clarity database or other EMR system experience
- Knowledge of the following tools: Snowflake Platform, Azure Data Factory, Power BI and Github
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our Snowflake environment
- Create and maintain data models and schemas for various data sources and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
- Develop and maintain automated data quality checks and data monitoring processes to identify and resolve data issues
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Support Key Operating Metrics data structures and process for Optum Health leadership team
- Perform data analysis to identify business problems and deliver value
- Problem solve and troubleshoot issues independently and as a part of a team
Other
- 5+ years of experience working on a data analytics teams
- Proven excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
