Fidelity Technology Strategy and Planning needs a Principal Data Engineer to contribute to the development and support of data management capabilities for internal applications and 3rd party data integrations. This data will empower BI & analytics solutions to enable leaders to make real-time business decisions, optimize portfolio of work delivery, and bring more value to Fidelity and its customers. There are complex data movement requirements from internal and external data sources into a common ecosystem.
Requirements
- 8+ years of related experience in data engineering, data analysis, data warehouses, data lakes.
- Strong experience with relational database technologies (Oracle SQL & PL/SQL, Postgres, or similar RDBMS).
- Experience with Snowflake, AWS RDS, Azure, and other Cloud Data warehousing services.
- Strong expertise in all aspects of data movement technologies (ETL/ELT) and experience with Control-M and schedulers, Python and shell scripting
- Proven experience in understanding multi-functional enterprise data, navigating between business analytic needs and data.
- Outstanding SQL skills and experience performing deep data analysis on multiple database platforms.
- Knowledge and expertise of data modelling techniques and best practices (Relational, Dimensional), plus any prior experience with data modelling tools (eg. PowerDesigner).
Responsibilities

- develop highly reliable ELT/ETL pipelines to move data to and from Snowflake data store using combination of Python and Snowflake SnowSQL.

- Produce scalable, resilient, cloud-based systems design aligned with our long-term strategy.
- Collaborate with team leads, tech leads and architects on setting the technical roadmaps.
