SecurityScorecard is looking for a Principal Data Scientist to help shape their data science strategy and drive the development of scalable machine learning solutions that power their cybersecurity ratings engine.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and experimental design.
- Proficiency with Python and experience with relevant data science/machine learning/statistical computing frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, Numpy).
- Strong experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in the cybersecurity domain is a significant plus.
- Experience with LLMs is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute on the data science roadmap to advance SecurityScorecard's core analytics and ML capabilities.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex cybersecurity challenges.
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and research teams to translate business requirements into robust and scalable data science solutions.
- Mentor and guide other data scientists, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Conduct rigorous research and experimentation to identify new opportunities and approaches for improving our products and services.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and cybersecurity.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Other
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in data science, with a proven track record of leading significant data science projects from conception to deployment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
