Fidelity Investments Workplace Investing (WI) is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to drive strategic database initiatives in support of business initiatives both in the US and globally, to position for growth and scale in a highly competitive market.
Requirements
- 10+ plus years performing Oracle 19c and 12g administration (SQL Server a plus)
- Expertise in Performance tuning, scripting and automation
- Expertise in Golden Gate replication on Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)
- Working hands-on knowledge/support of Postgres, Yugabyte, Aerospike, SQL MI, Snowflake a plus
- Knowledge and expertise in cloud, hybrid cloud technology would be a real plus
- Significant background in solving complex technology challenges
- A strong background working in large-scale software projects
Responsibilities
- Provide technical vision and support over critical projects as part of our strategy to expand our database service offerings
- Performing design evaluations/ recommendations for database migration strategies to the cloud
- Expertise analyzing, troubleshooting and performance tuning databases and SQL queries
- Expertise with Oracle Golden Gate, database replication and data movement strategies & tools
- Ensuring that technology solutions are aligned with our long-term architecture strategy
- Mentoring and developing more junior technical staff
- Operationalize solutions and ideas into standard operating procedures (SOP)

- Advanced communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to visually present technical strategy & concepts
- Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office
- Candidate must demonstrate the ability to mentor and develop more junior technical staff
