Raytheon is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to participate in the design and implementation of both infrastructure and software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, secure, and highly available systems. You will also help architect and scale infrastructure, automate processes, and ensure security is embedded in every stage of the development and deployment pipeline. In addition to the integration of the existing code base into a DevOps platform, there will be development of new software functionality/capabilities to meet new mission specific requirements. Identifying, recommending and implementing risk mitigation activities to reduce costs, schedule and technical risks.
Requirements
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Artifactory).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible.
- Experience integrating and maintaining test automation frameworks, static analysis, software builds and CI/CD analytics for embedded C++ and Java GUI application software.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Podman or Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Experience working with C/C++ / Java/J2EE software development and Agile development methodologies/toolsets.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and securing cloud environments
- Understanding of networking, security protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, reliable, and cost-effective on-premises and AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Architect and build infrastructure components that align with business requirements and industry best practices.
- Ensure infrastructure is highly available, fault-tolerant, and capable of handling large-scale deployments.
- Implement secure development practices and integrate security measures into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Automate the build, test, and deployment processes with a focus on security at every stage (Code, Build, Test, Deploy).
- Collaborate with development teams to secure applications and infrastructure by incorporating security best practices and tools.
- Monitor and address security vulnerabilities and maintain compliance with relevant customer and industry standards.

- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance.
- Applicants must be in the area or willing to relocate to it.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
