The business problem is to develop alternative solutions for the increasingly competitive aftermarket landscape in the Package Refurbishment and Upgrades (PRU) business at Solar Turbines Incorporated, a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc.
Requirements
- A thorough knowledge of standard engineering principles
- In-depth understanding of manufacturing, quality control, design and analysis techniques related to gas turbine control and associated systems
- Must be an expert in current hydro-mechanical systems designs and tools used to manage standards products (e.g. Windchill / PLM tools) and PRU project execution processes
- In-depth knowledge of Solar mechanical systems designs as well as commercial specifications
- Familiarity with Turbomach system designs as well as commercial specifications
- Background in Research and Development program management is preferred
