The company is looking to accelerate carrier connectivity, streamline quoting and underwriting workflows, and drive automation across the commercial insurance distribution ecosystem by leveraging artificial intelligence.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript (Python experience a plus).
- Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven systems, and microservices.
- Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines, LLMs, and vector databases (e.g., MongoDB Atlas Vector Search, Pinecone, Redis).
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
- Experience with commercial insurance quoting/underwriting platforms.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in insurance data processing.
- Hands-on experience with Quasar/Vue front-end frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee scalable, secure, and reliable carrier API integrations (REST, SOAP, EDI, ACORD, proprietary carrier systems).
- Define patterns, frameworks, and reusable services to accelerate onboarding of new carriers and lines of business.
- Develop AI/ML pipelines to extract, normalize, and map submission and policy data (ACORD forms, loss runs, SOVs, proposals).
- Collaborate with Data Science/AI teams to embed LLMs and vector search into underwriting workflows.
- Evaluate emerging AI models and frameworks to ensure practical, cost-efficient adoption.
- Serve as a hands-on technical leader, writing high-quality code and setting engineering best practices.
- Drive performance, scalability, and reliability improvements across the integration and AI pipelines.
