Microchip Technology, Inc. is looking for an exceptional person to join their USB and Networking Applications Team to bring advanced connectivity devices to market. The candidate will be a major contributor in this role, focusing on high-speed communication interfaces and integrating them into larger systems.
Requirements
- Low level Ethernet protocols on the PHY and MAC layer up to 1 Gb speeds (10 or 25 Gb Ethernet experience a plus)
- Schematic design and review
- System design
- Familiarity with ARM, PIC microcontroller architectures and with microcontroller development/design using C and/or C++
- Strong working knowledge of hardware/software debug and Lab equipment, e.g., Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Protocol Analyzer (any protocol)
- Experience with Linux environments
- Understanding of communication protocols for SPI, I2C, and NAND flash storage devices.
Responsibilities

Other
- BS in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 10+ years of experience, or MS in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 7.5+ years of experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lead projects, prioritize tasks, and execute to schedules
- Comfortable interfacing with a variety of engineering groups (Design, Verification, Validation, and Production Test)
