Beehive Industries is dedicated to Powering American Defense by revolutionizing the design, development, and delivery of jet propulsion systems to support the warfighter. Through the integration of additive manufacturing, the company aims to meet the growing and urgent needs for unmanned aerial defense by dramatically improving a jet engine’s speed to market, fuel efficiency, and cost.

Requirements

  • At least 12 years of experience in gas turbine design, analysis, test, and/or development
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a systems engineering position
  • Strong understanding of design software tools (NX, ANSYS, etc)
  • Experience working with additive manufacturing technologies and familiarity with design for additive manufacturing principles
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

Responsibilities

  • Execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of turbomachinery components, assemblies, and systems integration using sound engineering principles while meeting industry standards and program requirements.
  • Create design practices and processes for the engine design, assembly, and test phases of a program.
  • Lead engine system or component test programs from a hardware design perspective.
  • Serve as a design and systems subject matter expert as part of a diverse system design team.
  • Ensure products and sub-systems meet overall requirements from a design perspective.
  • Advocate for component durability while understanding the trade-offs and business decisions necessary to deliver the best overall solution.
  • Participate in the research and development of technologies and methodologies associated with additive design.

Other

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Passion for additive technology and willingness to challenge current design limitations to further exploit the benefits of additive capability
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and strong program leadership and execution skills
  • Proven self-starter and quick learner who can work in fast-paced cross-functional teams
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance
