Through the integration of additive manufacturing, the company aims to meet the growing and urgent needs for unmanned aerial defense by dramatically improving a jet engine’s speed to market, fuel efficiency, and cost.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience in gas turbine design, analysis, test, and/or development
- At least 5 years of experience working in a systems engineering position
- Strong understanding of design software tools (NX, ANSYS, etc)
- Experience working with additive manufacturing technologies and familiarity with design for additive manufacturing principles
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Responsibilities
- Execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of turbomachinery components, assemblies, and systems integration using sound engineering principles while meeting industry standards and program requirements.
- Create design practices and processes for the engine design, assembly, and test phases of a program.
- Lead engine system or component test programs from a hardware design perspective.
- Serve as a design and systems subject matter expert as part of a diverse system design team.
- Ensure products and sub-systems meet overall requirements from a design perspective.
- Advocate for component durability while understanding the trade-offs and business decisions necessary to deliver the best overall solution.
- Participate in the research and development of technologies and methodologies associated with additive design.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Passion for additive technology and willingness to challenge current design limitations to further exploit the benefits of additive capability
- Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated problem solving ability and strong program leadership and execution skills
- Proven self-starter and quick learner who can work in fast-paced cross-functional teams
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance
